Important: Introducing North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust
On 1 April 2026 Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals acquired Bridgewater Community Healthcare and we changed the name of our trust to North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust.
Bringing our hospital and community services together means we’ll be able to make things better for our patients, our staff, and our communities, not only in the short term but in years to come.
Our new name represents our combined organisation and the work we are doing to improve the care we give to our patients.
Although our name is changing, there are lots of important things that will stay the same.
If you use our services, there will be no immediate changes to your care and treatment. The team will continue to contact you in the same way, and you will continue to receive your treatment at the same place.
